MUSIC CAREER

Lindsey is a life-long singer and guitar player in the folk, americana, bluegrass, and country style.  She credits mentorship from her musical family & friends, the New England bluegrass community, and the Edinburgh, Scotland folk community for becoming the musician she is today.

Her influences are strong female vocalists and instrumentalists spanning styles and centuries, including: Gillian Welch, Allison Krauss, Dolly Parton, Emmy Lou Harris, Sarah Jarosz, Hazel Dickens, Alice Gerard, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Joni Mitchell and Brandi Carlile.

Lindsey was the host of the Hartford Pickin' Party bluegrass jam that ran for 3 years in various locales around the city. She performed with her father, Dick Fyfe, in the string band the Connecticut River Ramblers.  Lindsey is the President of the Board of Directors for the Sounding Board, Connecticut's oldest continually operating folk music series.
